High Camp Wines, San Luis Obispo Coast (California) Pinot Noir 2021

It’s interesting to see what is different between a domestic winery’s “regular” and ‘reserve” bottlings, since there’s no legal definition in the USA regarding the use of the term “Reserve.”  Often I find that it translates loosely to “more oak,” but that’s not always the case — this strikes me as more of a best barrel selection, and it is deserving of being separated from the undesignated wine.  It’s everything the regular is, but more so on all fronts — maybe a little darker mood, and in a good way.  Well chosen!
