An excellent Cabernet Franc that is true to its grape variety in all of the best ways, this shows very appealing dried herb aromatic notes but no hint of anything vegetal or under-ripe. The fruit shows a delectable hint of sweetness that again suggests fully ripe fruit, yet there’s nothing overtly sugary or confected in the flavor profile, but rather a slightly savory aspect that makes the wine enduringly interesting. Medium-bodied, with notable but unobtrusive wood and very good tannin balance, this will become even more complex with time in bottle, but is already a very promising partner for all sorts of moderately robust meat dishes. Platinum award winner at the 2014 San Diego International Wine Competition.
