The full name of this wine is Innocent Bystander Winemakers and the watercolor label shows a shadowy figure lurking behind a grapevine. The wine, however, presents no such mystery with its medium cherry-red color, toasted oak, tobacco leaf and bright cherry aromas and flavors. It has nicely integrated tannins, a very pleasant 13% alcohol, good length and a trace of smoked bacon in the finish. This is an excellent Pinot Noir, finished with a screw cap, from one of Australia’s premium Pinot Noir regions.
