It is becoming more common to see dry Rosés from northern Italian producers – a trend Rosé lovers should applaud. Ioppa’s 2022 Rusin Rosato stands out for its vibrant fruit and zesty drinkability. Made from Nebbiolo grapes, the Rusin Rosato ages on the grape skins for a short time and extracts a vibrant strawberry-pink color. It shows youthful aromas of red cherry, pomegranate and cranberry fruits enhanced by floral nuances and hints of spice. The flavors are lively and bright, with pure red fruits as well as subtle floral and spice tones. While Nebbiolo has not traditionally been used for Rosé wines, the times are changing and the Ioppa Rusin Rosato is leading the way.
