This is Iron Horse’s Flagship Sparkling wine — sold in a magnum bottle in this instance — from a renowned Sonoma producer that focuses on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Sparkling wine. All fruit is Estate sourced from the estate, and Iron Horse sparkling wines are made in the traditional method, with the second fermentation done in-bottle. Their Classic Vintage Brut sees 36 months of lees aging after the second fermentation prior to disgorgement. Creamy brioche notes pair perfectly with the wine’s tart tree-fruit flavor profile and high acidity. Iron Horse is my go-to U.S. sparkling producer for their consistently excellent, high-quality wines.
