Iron Horse’s Brut X is one of my favorites from Iron Horse’s sparkling lineup. Blended from 77% Pinot Noir and 23% Chardonnay and finished in an Extra Brut style, Iron Horse uses minimal sugar during the dosage, with some years seeing no sugar and the 2020 vintage receiving less than <2.0g/L. Crisp, bright, and refreshing, the 2020 vintage is green apple pie in a glass. Iron Horse uses all estate fruit from their sustainable vineyards. No corners are cut throughout any part of the winemaking process, making Iron Horse one of my favorite U.S. sparkling producers.
