Joe Dobbes has been making single vineyard Pinots from this vineyard since 2015. In 2021, he selected one block planted entirely to clone # 667 and bottled 81 cases. Like clone #4407, it was aged in French oak for 17 months and bottled unfiled and unfiltered. But it was fermented with 15% whole clusters which might have been just enough to tip it toward the vibrant berry side. Anyway, the initial aroma is bright, vibrant berries such as blueberry, but it too opens to show red cherry and delicate spice. Similar flavors continue the vibrant theme with subtle oak and good acidity adding to its lovely aftertaste. Smooth in texture, and showing some tannins in the finish, it comes across as youthful and needing only a few years of cellaring to totally charm you. 81 cases made.
