Jackson Estate, Marlborough (New Zealand) Pinot Noir 2008

Mar 3, 2010

By Paul Lukacs

A very impressive young Pinot, marked by sweet but in no sense candied cherry fruit flavors enhanced by echoes of savory spice in the finish.  The wine is admirably balanced, feels supple on the palate, and though light in body, offers genuine depth of flavor.  Delicious now, it shows every evidence of being able to become more complex and hence more compelling with a few more years of bottle age.
