The same oak and steel aging regimen used on the Tic Tok Cabernet (also reviewed this week) was also employed for this Mudgee Shiraz, resulting in a wine with a deep ruby color, forward plum and berry aromatics with spicy oak notes, medium fruit and tannins, 14% alcohol, and good length through the finish. This is a leaner style of Aussie Shiraz than many we see in the U.S. market.
