This beautiful Syrah manages to combine elegance and boldness. The nose has an explosion of black pepper, meat, baking spices, violet floral notes, and underlying hints of green herbs and stems. These elements add interest to the succulent raspberry and blackberry fruit. The structure underpinning the wine consists of harmonious tannin and acid that lead to a long finish. This is an aromatic and expressive style of Syrah reminiscent of those made in the Northern Rhône Valley. This wine is a wonderful example of a new direction for Australian Syrah.
