Josetta Saffirio, Barolo Riserva (Piedmont, Italy) Castelleto MGA “Millenovecento48” 2017 ($60, Solea)

Just a lovely presentation of dried cherries and red berries with some savory notes and some oak accents with excellent tannins and acidity that keep it lean but not spare. Although it does round a bit in the glass or decanter, it still holds its structure well, so will be slow to mature in the bottle.
