Clearly echoing a northern Rhône style, being marked by secondary undertones reminiscent of smoked meat and black pepper as well as primary dark fruit notes, this exemplary Washington Syrah offers a level of complexity that far too few American renditions of the varietal can match. Extremely expressive, it definitely outperforms its price tag.
