One of the lucky few producers to get access to this spectacular vineyard, and one that the owners are no doubt happy to keep in the loop. This is a lighter, brighter expression of Gary’s Vineyard Pinot Noir than is typical, one that shows its more elegant side. That’s not to say that there isn’t plenty of power here – pulsating acidity carries mixed cherry and ripe strawberry fruit along with a little lemon zest and bright fall spice. The oak is completely complementary here, and the overall structure bodes well for a long life ahead. Bravo!
