Ladera, Napa Valley (California) Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Feb 27, 2013

By

Ladera has vineyards on both Mt. Veeder and Howell Mountain, at almost opposite ends of Napa Valley.  Both contribute to this wine.  The nose is an intriguing combination of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, and an herbal undertone.  The palate has a glycerous texture, sweet blackberry fruit, and spice.  The palate is silken from the moderate tannins and acidity. The finish is fruity and of moderate length.
