Las Rocas, Calatayud (Spain) Garnacha 2012

May 19, 2015

By Robert Whitley

This little-known DO in north-central Spain is warm and dry in summer, making for intense, bold red wines. Garnacha is the money grape of the region and Las Rocas does it proud with the 2012 vintage, which exhibits jammy red fruits, spice and a touch of anise for an exotic complexity. Exceptional quality in value-priced red wine from Spain.
