An excellent, interesting wine that shows both power and poise, this shows good density isn’t unusually concentrated for the vintage. What distinguishes it above all is its textural complexity, as a very soft (even creamy) mid-palate is followed by a finish with welcome grip from lots of fine-grained tannin. Delicious already, this will last and likely improve for at least another five years, but I doubt that many bottles will survive for long if those who buy them taste this early on.
