Leyda, Leyda Valley (Chile) Pinot Noir 2010

May 11, 2011

By Marguerite Thomas

Chile seems to be a good place these days to look for well made Pinot Noir at an attractive price.  The Leyda Valley, located in a cool region overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is one of the most promising new grape growing sites for Pinot. The vineyards are still quite young, but this wine has ample amounts of fresh and bright fruit flavors, followed by a whispered postscript of almost imperceptible tannin.
