Lombardi, Sonoma Coast (Sonoma County, California) Pinot Noir 2021 ($52)

This is a surprise Pinot Noir – one that delivers dark side fruit in a fairly light style, with bracing acidity translating the aromas of blackberry, black cherry and cedar chest spice directly into palate flavors. The elements fold together but remain distinct through the mouthwatering finish. It will make the grade for hearty winter fare where you want some acidity to cut the sauce. Sourced from Gantz (Pommard clone) Gap’s Crown (clone777) and Martaella (Martini clone) vineyards.
