Louis M. Martini’s 2021 Cabernet reminds me of the way that Napa Valley Cabernets tasted in the 1980s before they got bigger (and often better) – like a good cru Medoc Bordeaux with always-mature fruit and a good wood backing and gentle tannins. As such, it is soothing and comforting, just there to enjoy and not to over think.
