Here is a super-Tuscan at a nice price that over-delivers quality. Though it’s the "second wine" of the house, there’s nothing secondary about it when it comes to adding to your table. The blend of Merlot and Sangiovese is initially brightly herbal on the nose, giving way to cherry preserves and spice with a little glass time. It’s rich, dry and structured on the palate, focusing dark berry flavors against oak spice and bakers chocolate. Decant a couple of hours before serving with grilled steak and risotto.
