I often feel that white Châteauneuf-du-Pape doesn’t get its due, and that — after white Burgundy — it can hold its own with any other white in the world. This is just a lovely wine, with ethereal-like floral and baking spice notes in aroma and flavor, along with a silky texture that is somehow both light and substantial without being either flabby or overly acidic – like a fruit truffle.
