An estate grown, Russian River Pinot Noir for sixteen dollars? Indeed, and a very fine one at that. Nice tart cherry fruit, nicely integrated oak spice, mild dry earth, rhubarb and strawberry are delivered with racy, food-friendly acidity and a very long finish make this a wine to seek out. It’s elegant inside and out, featuring a label of The Woods of Giverny by Monet, so it makes an excellent gift, and at this price I’d get a case or two to make lots of people happy. Platinum award winner at San Diego International Wine Competition.
