This is one of the best wines I’ve ever tasted from Mauro Molino, showing terrific density and great power and persistence of flavor. There’s plenty of structure to firm up the overall impression, but a superb abundance of fruit at the core of this wine is the real story, and quite impressive in the context of a vintage that is considerably more restrained in this regard than 2007 was.
