Maruo Veglio’s wines are all supremely individuated from vineyard to vineyard, and this rendition from Castelletto is packed with powerful flavors and superb linear drive. Spicy balsamic accents are very appealing, and the finish is sweet and supple despite the presence of abundant tannins.
