Merry’s 2013 Coopersmith is another stunning example of her ability to take what the vineyard gives and let it shine. This vintage is equal parts power and elegance, showing finesse that belies its youth. Showing gorgeous raspberry and red currant fruit with firm acidity and fine tannins, plus a stony minerality that provides another layer of intrigue, the 2013 Coopersmith is a wine for now or later, though later I suspect it will be even more beguiling.
