I am reminded of some of the early "Fume Blanc" expressions of Sauvignon Blanc by this glass, where a little wood exposure is a good thing. Better yet, it maintains the brightness that makes the variety so attractive that the examples of the past seemed to lack. The result is a very tasty package that values balance above all else. Lemon, peach, melon and a touch of grassy herbaceousness are bright, and the wood tones are a nice accent.
