I think this is the first of the 2023 Pinot Noir vintage that I have tasted, and with the buzz I’ve been hearing about it being as good or better that the 2021 vintage, my expectations are high. This wine never fails to disappoint, and it is a fine start to what looks to be a fun ride ahead. The long, wet and cool vintage on the California central coast shows here as bright and lively, with cherry cola, dry earth mineral notes, fresh tarragon and brown spices that are already well integrated and finish long and lively. That the pricing remains on the lower side of normal for this quality level should not go unnoticed. Nicely done!
