Bannockburn is an old mining town located in North-East Central Otago. Surrounded by mountains, its elevation and geographic location make it an excellent location for Pinot Noir. Mt. Difficulty’s Bannockburn Pinot Noir has traditional tart pomegranate and cranberry notes with iron, underbrush, and strawberry notes. While not designated by the government, Mr. Difficulty believes the wines from this small area, just south of Kawarau River are special enough to designate on their bottles.
