If you like big, lush, ripe red wine, this Napa Cellars Zinfandel is definitely for you. It is packed with black and red berry fruits spiked with a dash of black pepper, a touch of vanilla and hints of dry fennel and other spices. It is a standout with steak but I also enjoyed it recently with a simple burger. On a very hot day the alcohol may seem a little aggressive, but popping the bottle in the freezer for a few minutes before pouring seems to take care of the problem.
