Another county heard from at the 2017 Monterey International Wine Competition. This approachable Petite Sirah is softer on the tannins than most examples of this age, with bright red and blue fruit, pepper and faint dried herbs rounding things out. The finish emphasizes the red fruit, with pepper remaining properly present. A fine pairing for a ripe gorgonzola, and a Platinum award winner.
