It’s on the nose that Nickel & Nickel’s 2015 Sullenger Vineyard Cabernet begins to reveal its class. Aromas of cedar, wood spice and graphite are the tipoff. On the palate the wine is dense and concentrated, with layered aromas of cassis, blackberry and tobacco. The tannins are refined and beautifully integrated, making the wine immediately enjoyable even though another 10 to 12 years in a proper cellar wouldn’t be out of order. This is another beautiful Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon from the Sullenger Vineyard. Savor it and enjoy.
