Ornellaia, Bolgheri Superiore DOC (Tuscany, Italy) 2022 ($310, Vintus)

To me this is the most complete of the Ornellaias to date, although other vintages might shine in individual components. The first tastes are those of blackberries and black raspberries with some notes of dusty cocoa. It is silky, but yet a large mouthful of silkiness, with a balancing bit of puckeriness and lifting fruitiness in a finish that lingers and lingers.
