This is Villa’s simple, fresh take on St-Jo, and it is always delicious and a pure pleasure to drink, even if never as impressive as the Tilde. In the warm, generous 2017 vintage it is especially easy to enjoy, if not so complex as to seem an object for deep contemplation. Soft and overtly fruity–but without seeming grapey or overly simple–it is impossible not to enjoy.
