Papagiannakos’s winery is located 15 miles southeast of Athens and has been making wine for over 100 years. Their Assyrtiko immediately stood out thanks to its racing acidity, saline, white blossom, lychee, and green apple notes. Papagiannakos sources this Assyrtiko from their own 50 year old vines. Like these old vines, Papagiannakos’ philosophy is to produce a limited quantity of wine in order to produce the highest quality wine. No compromise here — this is excellent wine.
