Parés Baltà, Penedès (Catalonia, Spain) Cabernet/ Garnatxa 2009

 Ever seen a blend of Cabernet and Garnacha?  Me either, but this is a totally convincing wine and a remarkably reasonable price.  Medium bodied but full of flavor and character, it shows notes of black plums and red cherries, with nice spice notes around the edges and very soft tannins in the finish.  Yum!
