The Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County probably wouldn’t be the first place a person would look for outstanding California Cabernet Sauvignon. It takes great courage — and skill — to make Cabernet in Pinot Noir territory. But Pegasus pulls it off. This vintage is beautifully crafted, shows notes of cedar and graphite on the nose and complex layers of red fruit on the palate. The tannins are nicely integrated and the wine is beautifully balanced. A platinum award-winner at the 2018 Critics Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition.
