Piccini’s straight-up Chianti DOCG is a good effort with an entry level wine. It shows good weight and depth, with notes of black cherry and spice. The tannins are modest, making for easy drinking in the near term. A simple, straightforward Chianti for daily consumption with pastas, savory appetizers and grilled sausages.
