Planeta is so consistently reliable that consumers can basically pick any of their wines and be thrilled with the choice. Their Etna Bianco, made from Carricante, a grape indigenous to Sicily, is stunning and dispels any notion that Sicily is incapable of making great wine. This chiseled white has good depth and riveting acidity that keeps it fresh and lively throughout a meal. It’s lava-infused mineral aspect makes it substantial enough for full-flavored seafood, even bathed in a tomato sauce.
