I love a wine that announces its presence with authority before you even get it all the way up to your nose. That’s definitely the case with this delicious wine from Ponzi – huge cherry, raspberry, sarsaparilla, powder and spice aromas are powerful and seductive, translating nicely into flavors on the palate with lively acidity and a long finish with hints of white pepper and fennel coming forward. Bring on the roast bird!
