Blended wines bring life to lots of wine that maybe don’t make the cut to be labeled as their own variety, but in the hand of a talented winemaker can become a true delight. So it goes here, with Zinfandel, Barbera, Petite Sirah and Sangiovese brought into proportion to make a zippy red with mixed berry, pepper and herb aromas and flavors that ride bright acidity and finish long and in satisfying fashion.
