A blend of Syrah (42%), Petite Sirah (42%) and Mourvèdre (16%), this kosher wine from Israel is sophisticated, richly textured and very tasty. The winery, which was founded in 2003, is a fifteen-minute drive from Jerusalem. The terraced vineyards thrive in the rugged, chalky countryside in the Binyamin region. At the handsome visitor’s center at Sha’ar Binyamin, guests can learn about the region’s historic winemaking tradition, which stretches back some 3000 years.
