Quintarelli is widely celebrated as one of the most renowned producers of Amarone della Valpolicella. However, their only white wine—the Bianco Secco—is a hidden gem and one of my personal favorites. The Bianco Secco is a groundbreaking dry white, crafted from a harmonious mix of native Garganega, Trebbiano, and Saorin grapes, complemented by Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. This beguiling blend showcases an intricate balance of bold bouquet floral and pear aromas and a distinctive volcanic smokiness from the basalt-rich soil where the grapes are grown. It concludes with a long, dry, mineral-tinged finish.
