Pinot Noir has a famously silky texture but the best examples of that texture feature a subtle grip as well as glossiness. Raeburn’s 2019 vintage does not disappoint in this regard. In addition to its textural pleasure the wine also presents inviting aromatics (lightly smoky as well as very fresh and earthy), welcome flavors led by hints of cherry, and a flavorful finish that pleases with faint but pleasurable chocolaty notes.
