This Virginia cult winery has been purchased by the Bouygues family of Bordeaux’s Château Montrose, but winemaker Josh Grainer MW and Bordeaux consultant Eric Boissenot, who assembled this second wine, will stay on. True to the estate’s wine profile, this dark-fruited wine is dominated by very harmonious, satiny brandied cherry flavors bathed in gentle tannins – more rich than big or aggressive.
