Rodney Strong Vineyards, Russian River Valley (Sonoma County, California) Pinot Noir 2023 ($30)

Admirably pure but not lacking for flavor or structure, this is an outstanding Pinot at its price level, and an excellent one at any price. Dark cherry notes predominate, with a bit of spice in the bouquet and a little streak of red fruit in the mid-palate and running through the finish.
