A blend of Sangiovese (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (25% each), this is an intensely flavored, medium-bodied wine, with both ripe and dried fruit flavors enhanced by a dry, dusty typically Tuscan finish. It very much tastes of its origin, and while not inexpensive, outperforms many more internationally styled northern Italian reds. An impressive effort.
