A 100 percent Petit Verdot is a rare but occasionally beautiful thing. The 2012 Curtis Vineyard Petit Verdot from Santa Barbara Winery is indeed a beautiful thing, a deeply colored, richly layered, intensely flavored red that’s a real show-stopper. It shows ripe flavors of blueberry, blackberry and cassis, a subtle spice note, and beautifully integrated tannins. Platinum award winner at the 2015 San Diego International Wine Competition.
