Here is a big, Claret-styled Zinfandel with structure, weight grip and well tamed ripeness that will make you think you’re drinking something more “noble” from the wine world. Of course, Zin fans like me will tell you that it’s just another possible expression of one of the most versatile grapes out there. There is not a trace of heat shows here, even with 15.7% alcohol.
