This is a late disgorged release of a wine I reviewed last year — one that I absolutely loved. I love this version even more. The extra two years on the lees definitely kicks it up a notch. The additional time gives a depth to the yeasty character that adds real panache to the experience. You can find the rest of my notes in the archives on the regular 2012 bottle, but rest assured, this version is one of the best bubblies in California.
