Sequana, Russian River Valley (Sonoma County, California) Pinot Noir 2009

Sep 3, 2011

By Michael Apstein

Sequana’s Russian River Valley rendition is riper with more emphasis on raspberry-like fruit flavors than the one from Santa Lucia Highlands. Savory elements complement the red fruit notes.  Despite the added power, it’s beautifully balanced with plenty of freshness and uplifting acidity.  The team at Sequana seems to be able to capture the unique “flavor without weight” character of Pinot Noir.
